SUNVOLUME is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2020 by Justin Sanetra (Guitar, Vocals), Jimmy Russell (Bass), and Brett Sassetti (Drums).
In the spring of 2019, Justin Sanetra & Jimmy Russell drove from Chicago to Las Vegas to work with JUNO Award-winning producer Kane Churko at the Hideout Recording Studios. A series of singles were recorded that included "Fever In The Funkhouse" and "Crystallizer". After returning to Chicago and meeting drummer Brett Sassetti hanging out at the hideout, SUNVOLUME solidified its lineup as a trio.
The band played their first live concert at Reggies Rock Club. Following the show they released their debut single, "Fever In The Funkhouse", on September 21st, 2021. The song was featured on Spotify's "All New Rock" editorial playlist, SiriusXM Octane, and received airplay as 95.1FM WIIL's 'Hit Of The Day'. The second single, "Crystallizer", was premiered by New Noise Magazine on October 11th, 2021 and led the band to being the featured artist on 100.7FM Q Rock's "Loud & Local" and 92.7FM WQLZ's 'Artist Spotlight'.
Throughout 2022 into now, the band has toured the United States and Canada appearing at NXNE (Toronto), Norman Music Festival (Oklahoma), Alternating Currents (Iowa) and shared the stage with Everclear, Black Stone Cherry, Dead Poet Society, Powerman 5000, Smile Empty Soul, Crobot, Ayron Jones, & more.
The band is currently working on their debut album with producer Chris Gelin at Opus Audio Labs.
